We chose Stompin' Ground's "accessory compartment" case design. The angled pedalboard is tilted up, making the front level with the back. This creates a small wedge-shaped compartment underneath for toting cables and other supplies. This works perfectly with our bottom cover design, which keeps that extra gear separated from the power supplies, wiring, etc., inside the board. Other specs include...

- Ultra tough .040" ABS laminated to plywood panel body -Black
- Extruded aluminum double angle edge frame
- Stamped, nickel-plated steel corner protection
- Spring-loaded handles
- Recessed twist latches
- Continuous piano type lid hinges
- Two nickel-plated steel collapsible lid stays
- Shock absorbing foam interior.

Not sure which case is the best choice for your needs?

-Helweg Case Covers are about half the weight and half the price of Stompin' Ground Flight Cases.

-Helweg cases do not have a foam interior.  Stompin' Ground flight cases are better suited to protect pedals from being dislodged when dropped, rolled around, or shipped. If this sounds like you, go for the flight case.

-The flight case's optional tilt wheels make it easier to tote large pedalboards long distances even though the cases themselves are heavier.

-Helweg cases are covered with the same material as a typical guitar hard case, but built with thicker plywood. If you handle your own gear and do not intend to check it on a bus or plane, they are as durable as you will need.
